Ashley Adams Jewellers has been trading in the same premises for over 50 years.  Ashley had been working at the Royal Greenwich Observatory in Herstmonceux. Servicing and repairing Watches and Chronometers under the ‘Official Secrets Act’ for the Armed services.

When the new Vicarage Field shopping centre was built, Ashley saw an opportunity to run his own business.  The shop was opened and specialised in watches and clocks.  Over the years the jewellery and gift lines were expanded.
